Cured silicone facade joint seals · Made in Brookvale

Facade joints, sealed dry.

Solid silicone seals, extruded and cured in our Brookvale factory, that close the joints between facade panels. A cured extrusion takes the place of the wet sealant bead. How it’s fixed depends on the panel system: talk to David.

Wet joint or dry joint

The same joint, two ways to close it.

TAPESEALANTBACKER ROD

Wet joint

Mask both faces, push in a backer rod, gun the sealant, tool it, pull the tape, then wait for it to cure. Every step happens on the wall, in the weather.

FACEFINSHOLLOW CORE

Dry joint

The seal arrives cured, in its final shape and colour, and is fitted into the joint. No backer rod, no masking tape, no bead to gun and tool.

How a dry joint works

Where it fits

Built for the people who close the joints.

  • Panel installers and cladding contractors

Aluminium composite (ACM) and metal cassette panels like those in our gallery. Get samples in your panel colour and talk the fitting through with David before the first joint.

    Fitting Dry Seals
  • Recladding and remediation

Occupied buildings, tight programmes and weather windows. A dry joint takes the wet sealant bead out of the job.

    A note on the NCC
  • Facade engineers and consultants

You approve the joint detail. Put the profile, the joint and the panel system in front of David early.

    For specifiers
  • Architects and builders

The joint line is part of the facade. A cured seal arrives in its final shape and colour, for an even line panel to panel.

FAQ

Questions about facade seals

Anything else, ask David: 0413 077 745.

What is a dry joint?

A facade joint closed with a solid seal that is already cured, instead of a bead of wet sealant gunned and tooled on site. Dry Seals makes that seal from silicone.

Does Dry Seals install the seals?

No. We supply the seals. Your installer fits them. If you need an installer, we can recommend one.

What sizes are available?

Many profile sizes. Tell us your joint and we’ll match a profile. The joint width and the panel system are the two things we need first.

What colours can I get?

The seals in our photos are grey, black, white, blue, yellow and red. Tell us your panel colour and David will tell you what’s possible.

Can I get samples?

Yes. Request samples and tell us about the project. David will be in touch.

How do I get technical information?

From David. He talks you through the profile, the joint and the panel system for your project. Book a call or ask for technical information.

Is there a warranty?

Warranty available: ask David for the terms.

Where are Dry Seals made?

We extrude them in our own factory in Brookvale, NSW. Made in Australia.
